PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider

Knowing how and when to administer emergency oxygen is a valuable skill to have in a dive emergency. PADI® Emergency Oxygen Provider prepares you to offer aid and teaches you to recognize scuba diving injuries and illnesses requiring emergency oxygen.

This is an excellent course for ALL scuba divers, boat crew, lifeguards, freedivers, mermaids or anyone who spends time in and around water. No age restrictions or water sessions required.

What You Will Learn

• Identify when oxygen is needed for scuba diving and water-related injuries and illnesses
• Aid a diver if decompression sickness is suspected
• Assemble an oxygen unit and administer emergency oxygen

Step 1 - PADI eLearning time commitment: 2-4 hours

Step 2 - With Your Instructor: 2-4 hours

You will practice assembling and disassembling oxygen equipment for a quick response in an emergency.

Your instructor will teach you how to deploy a non-rebreather mask and a demand valve on a breathing diver.

You will also learn how to attach a rescue breathing mask to an oxygen unit to resuscitate a non-breathing diver.
